Le ciel par-dessus le toit
Chambres d'hôtes in southern Ardèche
LOCATION
The chambre d’hôte is located at three km from Vallon Pont d’Arc, in the centre of a small and quiet village. We offer three rooms in an old, fully renovated and spacious house. If you, like us, love the silence, you will be fond of it. The location enables you to visit the Ardèche and Gare regions, aswell as the beautiful towns of Avignon, Nîmes, Orange, Arles and even Aix-en-Provence and the Camargue area and the salt march of Aigues-Mortes.
The riverside resorts and independent shops are within reach on foot.
You can park your car in the vicinity.

WHAT TO DO
Main attractions
Top of the bill is certainly the Caverne du Pont d’Arc. This replica of the cave of Chauvet was opened to the public in 2015 and has already welcomed more than one million visitors. Booking in advance is recommended.
It is almost impossible to enumerate all the places of interest in the area. Nevertheless, here are a few places you should really visit: le Grand site de l'Aven d'Orgnac, le Musée-Magnanerie in Lagorce and le musée de la Châtaigneraie in Joyeuse.

Picturesque towns
The reason why we, some 30 years ago, have fallen in love with the region, is because of its beautiful towns and their architecture.
At a distance of less than 40 km from your holiday residence, you can visit a lot of interesting places like: Lagorce, Barjac, Les Vans, Banne, Labeaume, Vogüe, Goudargues and La Roque-sur-Cèze.
Regional products and markets
Is there a better way to discover regional products than strolling through cosy marketplaces?
You can find them on Sunday mornings in Salavas, on Mondays in Vogüe and Saint-Alban-Auriolles, on Tuesdays in Sampzon, on Thursdays in Vallon Pont d’Arc and on Fridays in Barjac and Ruoms.
There is a lot to offer, like goat cheese, honey, regional fruits and vegetables, artisan made bread …
Nature and recreation
The tectonic movements of the past have formed an amazing landscape with varied reliefs and lots of rock formations: chasms with steep banks hollowed out by swirling rivers, cliffs of pink granite (Labeaume), blue limestone (Casteljau), outstreched basalt plains, remnants of ancient volcanic eruptions (Mont du Mézenc).
Whether you are sportsmanlike or a nature lover, you will find lots of sports and recreation facilities in the neighbourhood of your holiday residence: bathing, long walks, descends with canoes and kayaks, canyoning, mountaineering, via ferrata, hikes with donkeys …
